Blade Runner (1982) — My Favourite Soundtrack
Some thoughts on Vangelis' soundtrack for Ridley Scott's Blade Runner, and why it remains my favourite.

Introduction
I’ve always liked sci-fi movies. The aesthetics, the epic narrative and, obviusly, the soundtrack.
The music that accompanies the story is essential. What’s more, there are movies I like not so much for the story, but for the soundtrack.
Blade Runner has it all. Great movie, and for me, one of the best soundrtracks of all time
What makes it special to me isn’t just the music itself, but the atmosphere it creates.
The sound of Blade Runner
Vangelis’ music feels inseparable from the world of the film.
The artist captures the essence of the dystopian version of Los Angeles—the setting for the story—so well that you can read the characters’ emotions: the nostalgia for a real world and the sadness of living in isolation, in a world where technology divides rather than unites.

The combination of synthesizers, ambient textures and melodies gives the soundtrack a very distinctive identity.

Final thoughts
This sountrack is perfect for everything. I like to listen to it while I’m studying or if I want to relax and think about life.
